Every version of our terms and privacy notice since each was first dated is kept here, with what changed and when. The current versions are always at those two addresses. Versions from before 9 September 2026 are available on request from hello@therotation.ai.
Until 25 September 2026 some changes were published without the date at the top being moved on. The dates below are the days each text changed, taken from our own records, and each superseded page says so at its head.
| Version | What changed |
|---|---|
| 4 October 2026 (current) | A register of three watches is free in the iPhone app from version 1.1.2: without a membership you may file up to three with their photographs, have the Eye identify them within a daily allowance, keep their wear log and use the bench and the compass, and the server keeps the register’s copy and its photographs. Membership’s list is said again to match: a register past three watches and its copy, photographs and the Eye past the free three and on the wishlist, the Eye past the free daily allowance, the bench’s recordings, the Registrar and the importer, and the monthly letter. The fair-use ceiling names the free daily allowance of the Eye. The timing tools are no longer a member’s. The right to use the app, the catalogue and the house’s text comes with your account, not only with a membership. |
| 27 September 2026 | The iPhone app asks for your permission for the AI from version 1.1.0, in the same words as the website; an earlier version of the app does not ask. |
| 25 September 2026 | You must be 18 or over. The register asks your permission before anything of yours is first sent to Anthropic, and Anthropic’s 30-day deletion is stated. A value may be one the Registrar proposes, and is an estimate, not a valuation. The monthly letter is paused. A section on the reference catalogue, with a way to object to anything in it. How changes are announced, and this record. |
| 23 September 2026 | A first membership begun in the iPhone app opens with seven days free, and what cancelling within them costs. |
| 19 September 2026 | A long import counts as several calls against the daily ceiling, and a house-wide daily ceiling may pause the model-assisted services for every member until the next day. |
| 11 September 2026 | A sentence pointing to a separate page on the AI’s limits was removed. |
| 9 September 2026 | The version first dated “revised 9 September 2026”. |
| Version | What changed |
|---|---|
| 10 October 2026 (current) | The identification records say how the photograph was taken and sent: from the camera or your library, from the iPhone app or the website, how many views were sent, and its size, sharpness and exposure as numbers. The photograph itself is still never stored. |
| 27 September 2026 | The iPhone app asks for your permission for the AI from version 1.1.0, in the same words as the website, and sends nothing to Anthropic until you have given it; in the app you withdraw it from Account, and the app on another iPhone hears of a withdrawal the next time it is brought to the front. What an earlier version of the app does. |
| 26 September 2026 | A row for the notes you can leave when an answer from the Registrar or a reading by the Eye was wrong: what is kept, for how long, and that they go to the house, not to Anthropic. |
| 25 September 2026 | A section on your permission for the AI. How long Anthropic keeps a request. The month’s letter paused. Rows for requests to the AI, the letter, your AI permission and sync records, and the photograph’s one-way fingerprint named. You must be 18 or over. How changes are announced, and this record. |
| 22 September 2026 | Continue with Google in the iPhone app: what Google gives us and what we keep; Google added to those who touch your data. |
| 21 September 2026 | Sign in with Apple in the iPhone app: what Apple gives us, and the encrypted token kept to disconnect Apple when an account closes. |
| 19 September 2026 | Each member sign-in is noted by its address beside a one-way fingerprint of the email tried; only a failed one is counted. |
| 16 September 2026 | The keeper’s address kept with its sign-in session; what the thirty-day register versions hold; how long allowance counts are kept; what travels for the month’s letter. |
| 9 September 2026 | The version dated “last updated 9 September 2026”. |
